About Susana

A psychologist specialising in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Susana Harp is currently a Senator of the Republic of Mexico and President of the Committee on Science, Technology, Humanities, and Innovation in the Senate. Senator Harp successfully spearheaded the constitutional recognition of Afro-Mexican peoples and communities, and the harmonisation of this recognition in 45 secondary laws. Senator Harp has also worked to protect the collective rights of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples to their culture and heritage. As a singer and cultural promoter, Senator Harp has produced several musical and literary works.
