About Shir Atzil

Shir Atzil is an Associate Professor and Director of the Bonding Neuroscience Laboratory at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research focuses on the neural and behavioural mechanisms that form and sustain close human bonds. With expertise in neuroscience, biology and psychology, and extensive experience working with parents, infants, and romantic partners, Professor Atzil has developed a novel theoretical framework to understand the neural and behavioural processes that underpin intimate human bonds and their developmental consequences.
