Daniella Ben-Attar

Daniella Ben-Attar is a Philanthropy and Social Impact Advisor working with foundations, family offices, and organizations on strategy, grantmaking, and systems change for children and families in Israel and globally.

She most recently served as the Israel Representative of the Van Leer Foundation for eleven years, where she led strategy and high-impact initiatives bridging government, philanthropy, and business to transform national and municipal systems serving young children and families. She initiated and led the Mindful Care program described in this article. She also conceived and co-led a seven-year national program that transformed how well-baby clinic nurses support parents across Israel, reaching 98% of babies and toddlers nationally, and developed and scaled the Urban95 strategy for city-wide early childhood innovation across 40 Israeli cities and led a landmark early childhood initiative in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Her career spans nearly 30 years and was shaped by global work with the World Bank, UN-HABITAT, international foundations and networks.

She holds an M.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Tel Aviv University and a B.A. in Government and International Relations from Clark University, and has completed executive education programs at Harvard, Columbia, INSEAD, and the London School of Economics.
