About Maya

Maya is a seasoned social justice campaigner, movement-builder and strategist. She co-directs Our Kids’ Climate, a global parent network pushing for clean air and climate justice. She also co-founded Mothers Rise Up, which runs creative campaigns for a fair shift from fossil fuels to clean energy. She was formerly Head of Humanitarian Campaigns at Oxfam GB and has lived and worked across East Africa and the Middle East. Maya has written and spoken widely on parent-led climate organising. She has three children, her greatest source of inspiration.
