About Saugato

Saugato Datta is Co-Founder and Principal at Venn Advisors, a behavioral science collective that works to help organizations in the field of global development better align their work with the needs of their clients. Between 2011 and 2023, he set up and led the international development practice at ideas42, a leading applied behavioral science firm, where he supervised over 50 projects, including over 20 randomized control trials, including the work discussed in his contribution to Early Childhood Matters . His research has been published in leading academic and policy journals, including the Review of Income & Wealth, the Journal of Development Economics, the World Bank Economic Review, and the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. He has a PhD in Economics from MIT.
