About Juanes

Born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, musician Juanes (Juan Esteban Aristizábal) is a global ambassador of Latin pop/rock and a leader of social change. Holder of 28 Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, Juanes believes in the power of music and art in early childhood as cultural tools for non-violence, empathy and citizenship. In 2006 he established the Mi Sangre foundation, whose mission is to activate ecosystems that allow new generations to lead the construction of a culture of peace in Colombia. It works on development, empowerment and a support network to bring about change for the country’s children and young people.
