
Brigid Schulte is an award-winning journalist, keynote speaker and author of Over Work: Transforming the Daily Grind in the Quest for a Better Life and the New York Times bestselling book on time pressure, gender and modern life, Overwhelmed: Work, Love & Play when No One has the Time. She was an award-winning journalist for The Washington Post and part of the team that won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize. She is the director of New America’s Better Life Lab, and uses research, journalism and practical tools to change narratives and shape inclusive policies around work, family, gender, care and wellbeing so all people and families have an opportunity to live rich, full, wholehearted lives. She hosts the Better Life Lab podcast on Slate. Her work has appeared in numerous publications, including the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Financial Times, The Guardian, Fast Company, New York magazine and many others.
Schulte has an M.S. from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and their two children.
