About Laís
Laís Fleury is a social entrepreneur with twenty years of experience and an Ashoka Fellow since 2003. She co-founded Associação Vaga Lume, dedicated to promoting reading in rural Amazon communities. For the past decade, she has worked at Alana, advocating for every child’s right to connect with nature. She is now Head of Partnerships at the Alana Foundation. Laís is a signatory of the film *The Beginning of Life 2: Outside*, Co-chair US of #NatureForAll, a member of ISGA’s executive council, an advisor to the Earthshot Prize, and holds a postgraduate degree on children’s voices and childhood.**
