
Florencia Lopez Boo holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford (UK). She is currently a Professor of Economics and Applied Psychology and the Director of Global TIES for Children Center at New York University (NYU). Before joining NYU, she was at the Inter-American Development Bank for 15 years, where she led the Early Childhood Development (ECD) group and an initiative on behavioral economics. She advises governments in LMIC on the design, implementation, and evaluation of policies on child development, social protection and health. She is founding member of the Latin-American Economics Association Behavioral Insights network. She has published articles in specialized journals such as the Lancet, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Development Economics.
