About Dinah

Dinah Bornat is the co-founder of ZCD Architects. ZCD design child friendly and inclusive developments and have co-produced two toolkits to help others do the same, ‘Voice Opportunity Power’ and ‘Family Voices Toolkit’.

Dinah is a child-friendly cities expert and researcher and has helped develop policy, guidance and best practices around inclusive engagement. Her work has had a significant impact at local, London, UK, and international levels.

She is the author of ‘All to Play for: How to design child friendly housing’ which was published by RIBA publishing in February 2025.

Dinah is a former Mayor’s Design Advocate for the Mayor of London and currently a Design Review Panel member for Harrow, Hounslow, and Brent councils.
