About Becky
As a writer and editor, Becky Barnicoat worked on the Guardian’s award-winning supplement Weekend, covering everything from celebrity interviews to feature writing. She then moved on to launch the Guardian’s Saturday supplement, Do Something, as Deputy Editor and feature writer. Meanwhile, she was commissioned by the New Statesman to draw a weekly comic, covering current affairs in a surreal and satirical way. She also worked at BuzzFeed as a senior staff writer and illustrator, generating millions of views for the website, and drawing comics for its Instagram and Facebook pages. Since leaving BuzzFeed, Becky successfully runs her own comics Instagram page and works as a freelance cartoonist and comics artist, drawing for The New Yorker, Netflix, and the New Statesman.
